From goody-goody sisters to half-naked crime fighters, women on TV have changed considerably throughout the years. Jiggle TV was seen as a glorious time by those glad to see some skin on their screen, but others weren’t quite as approving.

Here are some nostalgic shows that probably wouldn’t pass today’s sensitive atmosphere, but they were great at the time. Even though we can’t really make out whether they were successful because of their storyline or their bare-skinned protagonists.
Wonder Woman’s Body is a Wonderland
In 1975, Lynda Carter graced our screens with a figure that was hard to overlook. Whatever skillset and strength her character brought to the table was pretty much forgotten the moment she appeared with that tiny costume.

Lynda was well aware of the effect she had over her eager, drool-dripping viewers, and she was smart enough to play the part to boost ratings. As for today, we’re glad wonder woman is portrayed as more than her super tight bodysuit.
Bra-less Angels
Charlie’s Angels brought something new and arousing to the screen. Three women working as crime-fighting detectives is a thrilling premise, but there was something more – they let it all loose.

One of the angels on the show, Farrah Fawcett-Majors, summed it up it brilliantly, “When the show was number three, I figured it was our acting. When it got to be number one, I decided it could only be because none of us wears a bra.”
