Not everyone gets along all the time. Whether they are your best friend, family member, or co-worker, everyone fights once in a while. It’s no different when it comes to musicians, specifically band members. After spending so much time together on tour, red carpets, hotels, parties, it’s no surprise that some bandmates get sick of each other and butt heads.

When we remember iconic bands for their classic songs, we don’t always know what is going on behind the scenes. It’s easy to assume that people who make such beautiful melodies together get along great! From creative differences to stealing girlfriends, here are some of the most legendary rock band member rivalries.

Ramones

There are many reasons band members might not get along with each other. Sometimes its character differences, a fight over a girl, or just personality clashes. When it came to the Ramones, it was a mix of everything.

Frontman Joey hated Johnny’s Republican beliefs and political opinions. Joey was also devastated when Johnny stole his girlfriend, which inspired the song, The KKK Took My Baby Away. Yikes! There is really no coming back for that. I mean, he broke the main bro code.

Oasis

Oasis is pretty much famous for their sibling rivalry. The Gallagher brothers prove that family doesn’t make you immune to intra-band tensions. Liam and Noel’s feud is legendary, and it came to a head at a certain point.

It was a long time coming, but in 2009 it consumed the group; Noel just couldn’t take it anymore. They argued over everything from how one brother held his guitar to how they dressed. It’s pretty interesting how two people who couldn’t stand each other created such beautiful music together.
